How we check listings

BootDay lists 303 UK car boot sales and flea markets. We'd rather show less and be right.

Where the details come from

Each listing starts from the venue's public business listing: its name, address, phone number, website and usual opening days. We label those details as coming from the public listing until the organiser confirms them.

We leave out sales whose public listing says they've closed permanently, and we flag sales listed as temporarily closed.

Confirmed by the organiser

When an organiser claims a listing, they can confirm dates, seller times, pitch prices and facilities, and post live updates. Those details are marked as confirmed.

Live reports

Anyone at a sale can report whether it's on, busy or muddy. Reports show for 12 hours. To keep them useful, we limit how often one connection can report the same sale.
